Deputy Vice President for Legal Affairs
Adam Biggs serves as the Deputy Vice President for Legal Affairs. In this role, he assists the Vice President in managing staff and delivering legal services to the University. This includes providing management coverage in the Vice President’s absence. He is also responsible for helping the Vice President navigate risks and trends at all levels of politics that impact the University’s legal interests.
As a practitioner, Adam provides advice and counsel in all areas of law, including constitutional issues, employment law, student affairs, faculty affairs, academic programs, medical and clinic care, intercollegiate athletics, regulatory compliance, research compliance, intellectual property, contracts, privacy law, real estate, and open records.
Before joining the University, Adam proudly served as a Deputy Division Chief, Special Counsel, and Assistant Attorney General at the Office of the Attorney General. In these roles, he handled high-profile litigation through trial on behalf of elected officials and state agencies. Before the OAG, he was a litigator in New York City and an Assistant District Attorney in Texas.
Adam graduated with honors from The University of Kentucky and Creighton University School of Law. He was also a member of the Creighton Law Review.
