Our office has an open door policy for employees of the University who need legal advice regarding University business. If you need legal advice regarding a new University-related matter, please call our office at 512-471-1241 or email us and provide background information about the issue to assist in directing your matter to the proper attorney.

University Business Agreements and Contracts

We provide advice and counsel to the Office of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, which has primary responsibility for managing the University's contract and procurement activities. That office's website contains information on contract approval and routing procedures, templates for a variety of standard business agreements, and contract administrator responsibilities.

Referrals for Personal Legal Service

The Office of the Vice President for Legal Affairs represents the University, including administrative officers, faculty, and staff acting in the course and scope of their employment.  Our office does not represent administrative officers, faculty, or staff members in personal legal matters outside their business as University employees.  Individuals needing personal legal advice may want to contact one of the following attorney referral services:
