Matt Bohuslav

Matt Bohuslav joined the Office of the Vice President for Legal Affairs in October 2025.  Before joining the University, Matt was a partner at Naman, Howell, Smith and Lee in Austin, where he handled litigation in the firm’s Regulatory/Infrastructure and Government Relations sections.  He previously served for over a decade as an Assistant Attorney General in the Texas Attorney General’s Office.  In that capacity, he represented state agencies, public universities, employees, and officials in a variety of civil litigation matters in state and federal courts, including First Amendment, Equal Protection, Due Process, employment law, and eminent domain. 

Matt earned his bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2003 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from The University of Texas School of Law in 2009, where he was named Chancellor-at-Large.
